Integrated Control Solutions Ltd. is a leading provider of automation and electrical system integration solutions based in Cork, Ireland. As part of our continued growth and development, we are seeking motivated Graduate Automation Engineers to join our dynamic automation division.
Role Overview
As a Graduate Automation Engineer, you will become part of a skilled engineering team responsible for the design, development, and commissioning of automation solutions across a wide range of industries. This role offers excellent opportunities to build technical expertise and gain hands-on experience throughout the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities & Learning Areas
You will develop skills and experience in:
· Control system design and development, including PLC, SCADA, and HMI programming
· Electrical installations and control panel design
· Industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, DeviceNet, ControlNet, AS-i)
· Instrumentation and integration of field devices (sensors, actuators, drives)
· System testing, validation (FAT/SAT), and troubleshooting
· ATEX regulations and installations
· SQL coding, data acquisition, and reporting
· Exposure to Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing technologies
· Full project lifecycle delivery from URS through to commissioning and customer acceptance
· On-site commissioning, technical documentation, and client interaction
Previous experience in any of the above areas is considered an advantage.
Requirements
Applicants should meet the following minimum criteria:
· A degree in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
· Strong motivation to learn and explore new technologies
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills
· Ability to collaborate effectively within a knowledge-sharing team environment
