The Head of Technology & Digital will be responsible for defining and executing Harris Group’s enterprise-wide technology and digital strategy, ensuring that IT, data and digital capabilities actively support business growth, operational excellence, regulatory compliance and customer experience.
The Head of Technology & Digital will play a critical leadership role in modernising core systems, strengthening cybersecurity and data governance, and enabling scalable, resilient platforms across retail, distribution, parts, assembly, dealer networks and aftersales operations. This role is both strategic and hands-on, suitable for a leader who can translate business priorities into practical, high-impact technology solutions.
Technology Strategy & Leadership

Develop and deliver a Group-wide IT and digital roadmap aligned to Harris Group’s growth, restructuring and long-term strategy.

Act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Team on technology investment, risk and innovation.

Lead, mentor and develop the internal IT function and external technology partners.
Systems, Platforms & Digital Transformation

Oversee core enterprise systems including ERP, CRM, dealer management systems (DMS), parts and inventory platforms, finance systems and reporting tools.

Drive digital transformation across:

Retail and dealer operations

Parts distribution and logistics

Vehicle assembly and aftersales

Customer and fleet management platforms

Ensure systems are scalable across Ireland, the UK and wider right-hand-drive markets.
Data, Analytics & Business Insight

Establish a robust data and analytics strategy to support commercial decision-making, forecasting, dealer performance and customer insight.

Improve data quality, integration and reporting across brands and business units.
Cybersecurity, Risk & Compliance

Own the Group’s cybersecurity posture, including governance, incident response and resilience.

Ensure compliance with GDPR, data protection, ISO standards and relevant regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.

Manage business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
Vendor & Cost Management

Manage relationships with key technology vendors, system integrators and service providers.

Ensure value for money, contract governance and ROI on technology investments.

Control IT budgets and capital expenditure in line with Group priorities.
Innovation & Future Readiness

Monitor emerging technologies relevant to automotive distribution, EVs, connected vehicles, supply chain and digital retail.

Support sustainability, efficiency and clean-mobility initiatives through smart use of technology.

Essential
-
Senior IT leadership experience (CIO, Head of IT, IT Director or equivalent) in a multi-site, operationally complex organisation.

Strong background in ERP, CRM, DMS or large-scale operational systems.

Demonstrated success delivering digital transformation and systems modernisation.

Strong understanding of cybersecurity, data protection and IT governance.

Commercial mindset with the ability to balance innovation, risk and cost.

Proven ability to engage at Board and Executive level.
Desirable

Experience in automotive, logistics, distribution, manufacturing or retail environments.

Experience supporting dealer networks or franchise models.

Exposure to UK and European operations and cross-border IT environments.

Knowledge of EV, mobility or connected-vehicle ecosystems.
