As Group Financial Accountant, you will undertake a varied and diversified portfolio of tasks, supporting the CFO in the delivery of accurate, timely & compliant management accounts and supporting ledgers.
You will become an expert in the ways of working of the Agency. You will represent the Finance team in cross functional projects to identify and implement improvements and drive efficiency in existing processes, working with agency account teams and senior Finance management.
The following is a non-exhaustive list of some of the tasks included in this role
- Prepare the management accounts (P&L and balance sheet) for the Group
- Assist with month end & year end close processes
- Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations – full reconciliations to be produced and any anomalies to be noted and corrected
- Maintain balance sheet control accounts and associated registers and sub-ledgers (including fixed assets and WIP)
- Assist with payment approvals on banking platforms
- Oversee the preparation/submission of the Annual Group Statutory Accounts Pack as the direct liason officer for local auditors.
- Work with the AR and AP Team leads to manage cash to include limits on payments which ensure a healthy cash balance and efficient cash flow.
- Assist with Group reporting on a number of multinational clients to adhere to client contracts
- Reconcile income to contractual terms on a monthly basis. This involves a detailed analysis of our billed income, by media, to rates agreed in our client & media owner contracts.
- Key point of contact to ensure data integrity is maintained and upheld in the relevant systems used
- Liaise with & be a key contact to several external stakeholders e.g. tax advisors, bank etc.
- Analyse monthly costs to ensure correct coding along with being the finance point of contact for the agency when dealing with any costs and coding queries.
- Ensure foreign exchange revaluations are accurate
- Drive improvements and modernization of Finance reporting packages, identifying changes and leading projects to ensure those changes are implemented by both internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor credit Insurance limits and flag where adjustments are necessary
- Liaise with other agencies to ensure recharge reconciliations are accurate
- Meeting reporting deadlines to include assisting in rolling forecasts, 3-5 day hard close.
- Ad hoc duties as requested by the CFO or Business Leads
- You will build and develop relationships with internal team and other agencies, fostering the reputation of OMG as a trusted and competent strategic partner to their business.
In all your actions, you will be expected to represent OMG’s values, working with others in the business to drive opportunities for the agency. This role reports to the CFO.
Pay: €55,000.00-€65,000.00 per year
