Maintenance Engineer

- Shift Work - 7:00-15:15 & 15:15 - 23:30
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join a growing and progressive food manufacturing business.
Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of production and process equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys problem-solving and wants to make a meaningful contribution within a dynamic food production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair faults on production and process equipment.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and support compliance requirements.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and work closely with production teams to resolve issues.
- Support the upkeep of engineering stores, spare parts, and site facilities.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, efficiency, and safety.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with food safety, hygiene, quality, and health and safety standards.
- Support operator training and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Completed apprenticeship or formal qualification in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
- Experience in a maintenance role within food manufacturing – Desirable.

Pay: €35,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
