Job Description
We are currently seeking Self-Employed Aircraft Preparation and Painting Contractor to support aircraft
painting projects at Dublin Airport and Shannon Airport. This is a long-term contract opportunity offering
competitive hourly rates and the chance to work within a professional aviation environment.
As part of the team, you will be responsible for preparing commercial aircraft for painting by carrying out
surface preparation, masking, painting assistance, and scaffolding duties while maintaining the highest standards
of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting by sanding and cleaning.
Mask aircraft components prior to painting.
Assist with aircraft painting and finishing activities.
Erect, inspect, and dismantle scaffolding as required.
Follow all company procedures, airport regulations, and health & safety standards.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
Registered as Self-Employed in Ireland (or willing to register before commencing work).
If you are not currently registered, support can be provided through a trusted third-party company to assist with
the registration process.
Applicants must hold a valid Tax Clearance Certificate.
As self-employed contractors, successful applicants will be responsible for managing their own tax affairs,
including making Preliminary Tax payments to Revenue where applicable.
Clean criminal record (mandatory).
Ability to obtain an Airport Security Pass (security clearance may take up to 6 weeks after all required
documentation has been submitted).
Flexibility to work day and night shifts, including weekends.
Previous experience in aircraft painting, industrial painting, surface preparation, construction, or other manual
trades is desirable but not essential.
Working Hours
10.5-hour shifts (9.75 paid hours).
Day and night shifts available.
Monday to Sunday, depending on operational requirements.
Typical roster: 6 days on / 2 days off, although this may vary according to project needs.
