Home and Away is recruiting full time and part time Home Healthcare Assistants - in Kinsale, Ballinhassig and West Cork including Bandon, Ballineen, Newcestown, Timoleague, Clonakilty, Dunmanway and Bantry.
We can assistance with work permits for this position provided there is at least 1 year at least remaining on your current stamp and you will have a Full Driving License valid for 1 year at least.
Home and Away Care provides care to vulnerable people in their own home.
Responsibilities - Home Healthcare Assistants provide Assistance to clients living at home. The care assistant will travel from house to house throughout the day providing care.
We assist clients with:
Getting up and Going to bed, Personal Care such as Dressing, Bathing and Showering Personal Hygiene care, Medication prompting/reminders,
Light household duties such as meal preparation and feeding, Companionship.
Our clients include those with Dementia/Alzheimers Disease, Parkinson's Disease, Frailty, and the Elderly who need some assistance to help them remain independent at home.

Ideal Candidates: Experience as a Healthcare Assistant or have a QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare support
- Above all else, we are looking for people who are reliable and are happy to provide care to people in need. We can assist with training. If you enjoy helping others and available to work 20 - 35 hours per week and have a full driving license with your own car, then we would love to hear from you.
We can assist with training to achieve a QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support ( 2 modules - Care of the Elderly and Care Skills)
