Job Title: Workforce Optimisation Specialist (Nursing) Hermitage & Galway Clinic - Based in Hermitage Clinic
Reports: Group Head of Workforce Optimisation, dotted reporting line to Director of Nursing
Hours: 39 hours per week
Contract Type: Specified Purpose
ROLE PURPOSE
-
Reviewing process and practices that aim to improve employee and organisational efficiencies

To ensure nursing rostering is optimised, to align with budgets and headcount requirements.

To provide additional administrative services to the nursing department if and when required.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

3 years prior experience in HR administration
-
Knowledge of Nursing Rostering
-
Knowledge of Employment law areas such as Organisational Working Time Act 1997.

Proficiency in IT skills; Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and time management systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Providing an administrative service for the nursing department on Workforce Optimisation
-
Review weekly nursing rosters.
-
Review nursing hours worked & paid on a weekly basis.
-
Review nursing premium payments on a weekly basis.
-
Review nursing hours worked versus contracted hours and liaise with Managers & staff were deemed necessary
-
Update time and attendance management system.
-
Compile weekly WTE utilisation reports.
-
Reconcile worked versus required on a weekly basis
-
Compile weekly tracker on Required WTE v Activity

Attend daily bed meetings
-
Attend & present at weekly Nurse Governance meeting.

Attend weekly Nurse Recruitment meeting.

Ensure timely and effective communication with key stakeholders such as Group Head of Workforce Optimisation and Director of Nursing.

Greet and communicate appropriately with visitors, patients and all staff.
