M&D Mobile & General Engineering Ltd is seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator / MIG Welder to join our team in Rathnew, Co. Wicklow.
The successful candidate will fabricate and weld a range of steel products for domestic, commercial and structural projects, including gates, railings, fencing, balconies, stairs, fire escapes, balustrades, handrails, access ramps, mezzanine floors and structural steel components.
Main duties:
- MIG welding and fabrication of mild-steel components
- Reading and working from technical drawings and measurements
- Measuring, marking, cutting, drilling, grinding and assembling steel
- Fabricating gates, railings, stairs, balconies and structural steel products
- Inspecting completed work to ensure accuracy and quality
- Operating workshop machinery and fabrication equipment safely
- Carrying out welding and installation work on-site when required
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organised working area
Requirements:
- Previous professional experience as a metal fabricator and MIG welder
- Strong MIG welding and general fabrication skills
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Experience working with structural and architectural steelwork
- Ability to work accurately from measurements and specifications
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant welding or fabrication qualification is desirable
