Key Account Manager
Traditional Cheese Company (TCC) is a privately owned, 100% Irish company specialising in the promotion and distribution of a full range of Irish and Continental cheeses. Founded in 1984 and based in the Western Industrial Estate, TCC has a highly motivated management team with deep expertise in cheese sourcing, evaluation, and category management, supported by a strong network across the dairy industry.
As our business continues to expand, we are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, ambitious, and experienced Key Account Manager to support the continued growth of our retail business.
Reporting to the Head of Retail Sales, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of major FMCG retail accounts, including Musgrave, BWG Foods, SPAR, Nicks, and Applegreen, based from our Dublin office.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the lead point of contact for buyers across multiple categories within assigned key retail accounts, including Musgrave, BWG Foods, SPAR, Nicks, and Applegreen
- Build, develop, and maintain strong commercial relationships with category buyers and key stakeholders
- Consistently achieve and exceed sales revenue, margin targets, and agreed KPIs
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, including product listings, range extensions, and promotional activity
- Introduce new products and concepts supported by commercial and category insight
- Provide accurate, timely sales forecasts and performance reports to management
- Liaise with internal administration, logistics, and stock control teams to ensure product availability
- Forecast product sales on a weekly basis
- Monitor day-to-day orders, deliveries, and non-conformances
- Plan and execute product promotions
- Address customer complaints and commercial issues in collaboration with management
- Support additional projects aligned with the wider commercial strategy
Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar FMCG food sales or key account role
- Proven track record of delivering sales growth, ideally with Irish retail or convenience accounts
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building ability
- Understanding of food production and packaging specifications
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Competent IT skills including Excel and Word
Pay: €48,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
