Lynmac Auto, an independent Volkswagen specialist based in Navan, Co. Meath, is looking for a Fully Qualified Motor Mechanic to join the team. The role involves servicing, diagnostics, maintenance and general vehicle repairs across a range of vehicles. You should be confident working independently, have strong computer diagnostic and fault-finding skills, and take pride in working to a high standard.
Main Duties
● Carry out full vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
● Prepare and service vehicles for NCT testing
● Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
● Carry out brake, suspension, steering and exhaust repairs
● Replace clutches, timing belts, batteries and other components
● Carry out engine and transmission repairs where required
● Use computer diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults
● Carry out pre-NCT inspections and identify repairs required
● Perform vehicle safety checks and inspections
● Work across a range of cars, with Volkswagen Group experience an advantage
Requirements
● Fully qualified motor mechanic
● Full driving licence
● Strong computer diagnostic skills
● Volkswagen / Volkswagen Group experience is an advantage
Salary
€40,000–€50,000 per year, depending on experience
Working Hours
Monday–Thursday: 9:00am–6:00pm
Friday: 9:00am–5:00pm
Pay: €40,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
