Square Restaurant is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Floor Supervisor to join our front-of-house team on a maternity cover contract.

About the Role
The Assistant Floor Supervisor will support the management team in the day-to-day running of the restaurant floor, helping to lead service, support the team, and ensure guests receive a warm, professional and memorable experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the senior team during service
- Help supervise and motivate the front-of-house team
- Ensure smooth, efficient and friendly service
- Welcome guests and help manage bookings, seating and customer queries
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation
- Assist with staff training and day-to-day communication
- Handle customer feedback in a calm and professional manner
- Support opening and closing duties
- Help ensure company standards, policies and procedures are followed
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is essential
- Supervisory experience is desirable but not essential
- Friendly, confident and professional with guests
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Calm under pressure and well organised
- A genuine interest in food, wine and hospitality
- Flexible and reliable with availability for evenings and weekends
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
