Greenhill Nursing Home Carrick on Suir are hiring a full time Kitchen Assistant to join our experienced, friendly team!
Nature of Duties:
Assistance in the preparation and serving of food for our residents at meal times
Delivering drinks/tea and coffee to residents' room aswell as fulfilling any other requests the residents may have in relation to food and drink
Cleaning of kitchen/dining room area in preparation for mealtimes including washing dishes, cleaning floors and surfaces etc.
Organizing and putting away any deliveries of stock using first in first out method and correct rotation
Adhering to strict HACCP and infection prevention measures when serving/preparing or cleaning the kitchen area
A positive and friendly attitude as our staff collectively creates a homely environment for our residents and their families
Skills required:
Previous experience desirable
HACCP certificates preferred but not essential as this training can be provided to the right candidate
Manual handling desirable
Flexibility to work a varying shift pattern across the seven days of the week in accordance with a weekly roster
Be friendly and outgoing!
