The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machinery, manufacturing bespoke cabinetry, assembling products and carrying out fitting work while maintaining high standards of workmanship in a fast-paced workshop environment.
This is a full-time position based on a 39-hour working week. Normal working hours are Saturday to Wednesday, with Thursday and Friday as scheduled days off. Flexibility may be required from time to time to meet production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and production specifications.
- Manufacture bespoke cabinetry and timber components.
- Assemble and fit finished products to a high standard on off-site locations.
- Inspect finished components to ensure quality standards are met.
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and housekeeping.
- Work efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Follow all health and safety procedures within the workshop.
- Work effectively as part of a manufacturing team.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience operating CNC woodworking machinery.
- Cabinet making, assembly and fitting experience is essential.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Availability to work the normal Saturday to Wednesday shift pattern.
Desirable
- A qualification in Cabinet Making, Carpentry, Wood Manufacturing or a related trade is desirable but not essential.
- Experience with CNC programming software, such as Alphacam, B-Solid (or similar), is desirable.
- Experience operating edge banders, beam saws or other woodworking machinery.
- A full, clean driver's licence is desirable but not essential.
- Manual handling and forklift certification would be an advantage.
Pay: €1.00-€2.00 per year
