Construction Plant Fitter
We are seeking a full-time Construction Plant Fitter to join our team, based on site in Navan, Co. Meath. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, diagnostics, and repair of construction plant machinery and equipment, helping to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on construction plant machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs on hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and mechanical components.
- Complete scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained in line with safety standards and operational requirements.
- Support site and operational teams to keep machinery running efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, servicing, and inspections where required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in mechanical repair, maintenance, and diagnostics of construction plant machinery.
- Hands-on experience working with hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and mechanical components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
- Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines in a busy working environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant certification or qualification in mechanical engineering, plant fitting, or a related discipline is desirable.
- Experience in the construction or demolition industry is an advantage.
- Full clean driver’s licence is required.
