Production Operative:
PEL Waste Reduction Equipment is currently recruiting for an Producction Operative to join our busy assembly department. This role is available for an immediate start and would suit candidates with an interest in practical and mechanical work.
Criteria:
Applicants must be able to demonstrate:
- Previous fabrication and fitting experience, or a strong practical aptitude
- Ability to perform assembly and fitting functions
- Strong initiative with the ability to work independently
- Good time management and organisational skills
This role would suit candidates from a wide variety of practical, mechanical, and engineering backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Sub-assembly and fitting of components and materials to produce finished products
- Managing stock throughout the production process
- Carrying out testing, visual inspections, and quality checks
- Identifying defects and reporting issues where necessary
- Working towards daily and weekly production targets
- Following work processes and supervisor instructions
- Assisting management in resolving production line issues
- Suggesting process improvements where appropriate
- Maintaining excellent timekeeping and attendance standards
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in an assembly or production environment desirable, but not essential
- Good hand–eye coordination
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn new skills
- Good communication skills
- Fluent in English
Training
- Full on-the-job training will be provided for the successful candidate
Hours
- 39 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
