About Southill Family Resource Centre
Southill Family Resource Centre is a community-based organisation committed to supporting children, young people, families, and older persons within the Southill community. Working alongside local partners and statutory agencies, the Centre delivers a wide range of services and programmes aimed at promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and community development.
The Board is seeking to appoint an experienced and practical Interim Centre Manager to provide leadership and operational oversight during a transitional period.
Purpose of the Role
The Interim Centre Manager will provide day-to-day operational leadership and support the Board in ensuring continuity of services, sound governance, effective financial oversight, and strong relationships with staff, volunteers, funders, and community stakeholders.
This role offers flexibility and is particularly suited to an experienced community, charity, or public sector professional seeking a part-time position.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management
- Provide day-to-day oversight of Centre operations.
- Support and supervise staff.
- Ensure continuity of services and programmes.
- Address operational issues and escalate risks to the Board.
Governance and Compliance
- Work closely with the Chairperson and Board.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Support implementation of recommendations arising from governance reviews.
- Maintain appropriate records and reporting.
Funding and Reporting
- Coordinate grant applications and funding submissions.
- Ensure reporting obligations to funders are met.
- Liaise with Tusla and other funding bodies.
- Support preparation of annual budgets and operational plans.
Financial Oversight
- Oversee expenditure and financial processes.
- Work with the Treasurer and external accountants.
- Support implementation of strengthened financial controls.
- Monitor grant expenditure and reporting requirements.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the main point of contact for external stakeholders.
- Maintain relationships with community groups and partner organisations.
- Support ongoing discussions relating to organisational development and collaboration.
Leadership and Team Support
- Provide guidance and support to staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative culture.
- Promote good communication across the organisation.
Essential Requirements
- Experience managing teams or community services.
- Experience in the community, voluntary, charity, health, social care, or public sectors.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Experience working with Boards or governance structures.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise competing demands.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Desirable
- Experience with Family Resource Centres or community development organisations.
- Experience managing grants and funding applications.
- Knowledge of governance and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with Tusla and statutory agencies.
