Support Pharmacist
Schedule: Part Time 3 days per week. We require 3 days per week (currently Tuesday, Thursday, Friday one week and Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday the next week). We are open to discussing any changes to this rota. Extra ad-hoc days depending on pharmacy need may be requested but are subject to agreement with both parties . We are open 9-6 Mon-Fri and 9-5 on Saturday.
Contract: 6 months probation with a view to a permanent contract
We are looking to recruit an experienced support pharmacist for our busy, independent family owned community pharmacy in Glasnevin.
This is a part time pharmacist role and we are looking for a start date in July 2026. The successful applicant will be open to working 2 in 4 Saturdays. There will be no late nights, no Sundays or Bank Holidays. We run a 2-pharmacist dispensary so there is always an experienced pharmacist alongside you; we average around 300 items per day and we work with an OTC assistant. Touchstore is the dispensing system used. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team where double pharmacist cover is the norm.
What we’re looking for:
The successful applicant’s responsibilities will be to:
- work as part of a team with the role overseeing the day to day running of the dispensary alongside the Supervising/Superintendent Pharmacists
- dispense prescriptions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the pharmacy guidelines and SOPs in place to ensure accuracy and attention to detail
- maintain appropriate stock levels in the dispensary ensuring the correct storage and monitoring of dated products
- oversee end of month claims and payments
- deliver expert advice by engaging actively with customers to encourage customer loyalty and confidence
- show excellent communication and motivational skills within the team
- have a strong professional ethos and commercial understanding

- Minimum 1 years' Relevant Pharmacy experience in Ireland is desirable
- PSI registered
- Some pharmacy supervision experience desirable
- Flexibility to work 2 in 4 assigned weekends

What we require:
- A minimum of 1 year experience in Community Pharmacy is desirable but not essential.
- The candidate must be qualified and registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland
