About us
Kumon Ashbourne is a new maths and English study centre opening in Ashbourne town centre in October 2026. We work with children from the age of three through to secondary school, following the Kumon Method: an individualised study programme where each child works at their own level and progresses at their own pace.
The role
As a Centre Assistant you will support the Instructor in running our weekly classes. Full training in the Kumon Method is provided before your first session — no prior experience of Kumon is required.
Your duties will include:
● Welcoming students and their parents, and helping the class run smoothly
● Marking students' maths and English worksheets accurately and promptly (answer books provided)
● Observing students as they work and noting their progress, pace and areas of difficulty
● Handing out worksheets and preparing materials for each class
● Keeping the centre tidy, organised and well presented
● General administrative support as required
As you develop, there is scope to take on a broader role — including a wider marking range, digital enrolment and social media marketing management.
