Project Manager — Commercial Furniture & Interior Fit-OutCompany: Oberland
Location: Dublin-based, with projects across Ireland and the UK
Experience: 2 years +
Oberland is looking for a capable, ambitious Project Manager to join our growing commercial interiors and furniture business.
This is an ideal role for someone with 2 years+ experience who is ready to move beyond entry-level coordination and take real ownership of live projects, clients, suppliers, timelines and delivery outcomes.
We are looking for someone practical, organised, commercially aware and confident with people. You do not need to be the finished article, but you do need to be someone who enjoys driving projects forward, keeping communication clear, and making sure nothing falls between the cracks.
About Oberland
Oberland delivers design-led commercial furnishing and fit-out projects across hospitality, workspace, residential, student living and amenity spaces. We work with clients from concept through to delivery, combining creative thinking with commercial execution
.Our work is fast-moving, varied and detail-driven, but above all it depends on strong project control, clear communication and a high level of client service.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for helping to plan, coordinate and deliver multiple projects from confirmation through to completion.
You will work closely with our operations, studio, client service, logistics, suppliers and installation teams to make sure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the standard expected by our clients.
This role is not just about tracking details. It is about taking ownership, seeing the bigger picture and making sure every project keeps moving.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day project delivery from order confirmation to final installation.
- Build and maintain clear project timelines, action lists and delivery schedules.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, suppliers, internal teams and site contacts.
- Keep clients updated with clear, professional and proactive communication.
- Chase information, decisions, suppliers, drawings, approvals and internal actions where needed.
- Coordinate with operations and logistics to ensure teams are properly briefed before delivery or installation.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, variations and commercial risks.
- Flag problems early and help find practical solutions before they become bigger issues.
- Keep project records, trackers and communication up to date.
- Support the wider team in improving project processes, handovers and delivery systems.
The Person We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership.
- Confident speaking with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
- Commercially aware and able to understand the impact of delays, changes and poor communication.
- Practical and solutions-focused.
- Detail-conscious without getting lost in unnecessary detail.
- Calm under pressure and able to keep projects moving.
- Strong at following up, chasing actions and closing loops.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving SME environment where priorities can change.
- Interested in interiors, furniture, fit-out, hospitality or commercial spaces.
What We Do Not Need
This role is not suited to someone who wants to sit purely in technical detail, design development or back-office administration.
We need someone who enjoys being at the centre of project delivery: speaking to people, solving problems, managing expectations, protecting timelines and making sure the client receives a total service from start to finish.
Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have 2 years+ experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Project management
- Interior fit-out
- Commercial furniture
- Construction coordination
- Hospitality, workplace or residential project delivery
- FF&E procurement or installation coordination
- Design studio or supplier-side project coordination
Experience in furniture, interiors or fit-out is highly desirable, but attitude, communication and ownership are just as important.
What Success Looks Like
A successful Project Manager at Oberland will:
- Know exactly what needs to happen this week across their projects.
- Keep clients informed before they need to ask.
- Make sure suppliers and internal teams are chased at the right time.
- Spot commercial risks early.
- Keep Ryan and the senior team out of unnecessary day-to-day chasing.
- Bring structure, urgency and calm to live project delivery.
- Help Oberland deliver a professional, reliable and high-quality client experience.
Why Join Oberland?
This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to grow quickly within a business that is building something different in the commercial interiors market.
You will gain exposure to high-quality projects, senior decision-makers, clients, suppliers and the full delivery process. You will not be boxed into a narrow role. You will be trusted to take ownership, contribute ideas and develop as the business grows.
