About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team on a temporary fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover. The successful candidate will be available to start immediately and will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our payroll function while supporting the wider HR team..
Working as part of the HR team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll while providing administrative support across a range of HR functions. This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll
- Process weekly payroll accurately and on time.
- Maintain payroll records, ensuring employee data is up to date.
- Process new starters, leavers, contractual changes, and statutory payments.
- Respond to payroll-related queries from employees.
- Ensure compliance with relevant payroll legislation and company policies.
- Liaise with payroll providers and external agencies where required.
HR Support
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Prepare employment documentation, including contracts and letters.
- Support recruitment administration, including arranging interviews.
- Assist with absence monitoring and HR reporting.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team.
- Handle confidential employee information in line with GDPR requirements.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous payroll administration experience.
- Experience providing HR administrative support (desirable but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience using payroll and HR systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
