We’re growing our BCAR & Technical Advisor Services team at HJL and we’re looking for talented people who want to play a meaningful role in shaping better, safer buildings across Ireland.
We are hiring:
- Executive Assigned Certifier (8+ years post qualification)
- Building Inspector (5+ years post qualification experience)
At HJL, we work with developers, investors, lenders and public bodies, providing trusted, practical advice from project inception right through to completion. As part of our expanding team, you’ll take on varied and rewarding work that goes well beyond traditional certification roles.
What you’ll do:
- Lead or support BCAR duties across residential, commercial and mixed‑use projects
- Provide Technical Advisor services including technical due diligence, project monitoring, construction advice and certification
- Prepare and manage DAC applications and advise design teams on Part M compliance
- Deliver PSDP services, including Safety & Health Plans and Safety Files
- Contribute to a collaborative, supportive technical team that values excellence and good decision‑making
What we’re looking for:
- Qualified Architect, Engineer, Building Surveyor or Architectural Technologist
- Registration with RIAI, Engineers Ireland or SCSI is an advantage
- Strong working knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and BCAR 2014
- Clear communicator with excellent client‑facing skills
- Motivated, organised and able to manage multiple projects with confidence
