About us
NanobOx is a UCD spin-out developing advanced nanobubble technology for clean water treatment. The company's systems improve aeration and sanitisation for agriculture, aquaculture and industrial applications. Products are built and tested in-house by a small, close-knit engineering and workshop team.
The role
NanobOx is seeking a practical, hands-on technician to build and test its water treatment units in the Dublin workshop. This is a workshop-based role rather than a design or office position. A degree or engineering qualification is not required. The company is looking for a candidate who is skilled with their hands, familiar with pumps and pipework, and committed to high standards of workmanship.
The engineering team is responsible for design. The technician's role is to assemble the units, fit them together, and ensure they function correctly.

- Assembling units from pumps, valves, pipes and fittings
- Building and mounting the frames on which units are housed
- Carrying out basic wiring and connecting electrical components
- Testing completed units and assisting with fault finding
- Maintaining accurate records of assembly and testing
Requirements
- Solid hands-on experience in plumbing, pipework, pumps or water systems
- Competent use of hand and power tools
- Some experience of basic electrical work (formal certification not required)
- Strong practical problem-solving and fault-finding ability

- Eligible to work in Ireland
A degree is not required. A trade background, a completed apprenticeship, or several years of relevant practical experience are all welcomed.
Desirable
- Experience with filtration, valves or pressure systems
- Workshop fabrication or framing experience
- A full driving licence, with willingness to support occasional site visits
What we offer
- Stable employment working on genuinely useful clean-water technology
- A collaborative, small-team environment
- The opportunity to see products through from individual components to finished units
