About the role
Maurice Doody Sales is a long-established Limerick based tool and industrial supply distributor, supplying trade and industry across the Midwest with brands including Milwaukee, DeWalt, Knipex, Wera, Klingspor and more, in store and online. We're hiring for somebody to take ownership of our product data - from the stock on our shelves through to how it appears on our website and B2B platform. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes satisfaction in getting data right and keeping it right.
Ongoing responsibilities
Product data and stock accuracy
- Maintain accurate product data in Sage - codes, GTINs/barcodes, stock locations and quantities
- Carry out ongoing cycle counts and investigate discrepancies rather than simply adjusting them
- Deactivate discontinued and obsolete lines and keep the catalogue clean
Website
- Add new products to the website, including full descriptions, specifications and categorisation
- Ensure every product carries complete supporting data - multiple images, data sheets, spec sheets
- Reconcile website data against Sage so that pricing, stock and product information stay aligned
- Log, chase and resolve technical issues with external software providers
- Monitor the site on an ongoing basis for errors, broken pages and missing data
B2B platform
- Apply the same product setup and monitoring standards across a B2B system
- Act as the point of contact with B2B system developers
Reporting
- Once data integrity is established, produce regular stock, sales and product reports from Sage to support buying and management decisions
