As the first point of contact for members and guests, the Front of House Receptionist plays a vital role in delivering excellent customer service. You’ll be responsible for creating a welcoming environment, handling member inquiries and ensuring the front desk runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet all members and guests warmly as they arrive
- Check in members using gym software and verify membership status
- Provide information on memberships, classes, facilities, and services
- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and handle general inquiries
- Process new memberships, renewals, and cancellations
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the front desk and entrance area
- Monitor access to the gym and enforce entry policies
Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role (preferred)
- Friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using booking systems and computer applications
- Basic cash handling and POS (Point of Sale) experience (preferred)
- Interest in health, fitness, or wellness is an advantage
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
