Croí na Mara Vets is looking for a friendly, organised and proactive receptionist/administrator to join our team.
We are looking for someone who is confident using computers, has excellent administrative and organisational skills, and enjoys dealing with people. You will be an important part of the day-to-day running of the practice, so we are looking for someone who takes initiative, notices what needs to be done and enjoys finding ways to make things work better.
You do not need veterinary experience for this role. What matters most to us is that you are reliable, capable, approachable and genuinely love animals.
The role will include:
- Welcoming clients and providing a warm, professional first impression
- Answering phones, emails and client enquiries
- Booking and managing appointments
- General administration and data entry
- Using practice computer systems confidently
- Managing stock, ordering and keeping stock records organised
- Maintaining accurate records and paperwork
- Helping to keep the reception and practice running smoothly
- Identifying areas where systems could be improved and putting practical solutions in place
- Working closely with the veterinary team
- Providing excellent customer service to our clients
We are looking for someone who:
- Is very comfortable with computers and technology
- Has strong administration and organisational skills
- Is methodical and has excellent attention to detail
- Has good interpersonal and communication skills
- Is confident dealing with clients in person and on the phone
- Can manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Has an interest in stock control and organisation
- Is proactive and willing to take initiative
- Enjoys creating or improving systems and processes
- Is flexible and willing to help wherever needed
- Is dependable and works well as part of a team
- Loves animals and enjoys being around them
Veterinary reception or practice experience would be an advantage, but it is not essential. We are more interested in finding the right person with the right attitude, skills and willingness to learn.
Hours
The position is part-time, generally working from 8.30am until either 2.00pm or 4.00pm, depending on the agreed working pattern.
Saturday work is required, and flexibility is important.
Salary
Salary commensurate with experience and skills.
