We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and committed Early Years professional with a strong work ethic and a passion for providing high-quality care and education.
You will assist in leading our team, acting as a positive role model to colleagues and helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, develop and thrive.
A particular strength in supporting and managing staff is essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
You will be a strong team player who is approachable, supportive and able to build positive relationships with colleagues while helping to create a happy and inclusive workplace.
Key Requirements
- Education: Level 6 or 7 / 8 qualification in Early Childhood Education.
- Experience: At least 1 year’s experience in a supervisory or management role within an Early Years setting.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
- A strong team player with a positive and supportive approach.
- The ability to motivate, lead and inspire colleagues.
- A positive, enthusiastic and professional attitude.
You will:
- Create a safe, caring and stimulating environment that promotes learning through play.
- Supervise and support activity planning to ensure children's individual needs are met.
- Work closely with parents and/or carers, providing a high standard of communication and customer service.
- Work collaboratively with the Centre Manager, colleagues and other professionals to ensure children's needs are met.
- Act as a positive role model and support the professional development of the team.
- Be an active and supportive team player, contributing to a positive workplace culture.
- Help maintain a happy, inclusive and supportive workplace.
Your Management Responsibilities
As part of the management team, your responsibilities will also include:
- Ensuring full compliance with childcare regulations and Safari Childcare policies and procedures.
- Assisting with the recruitment, onboarding and induction of suitably qualified staff.
- Supporting, mentoring and developing team members.
- Maintaining accurate staff and children's records.
- Supporting the Centre Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of the centre.
- Promoting and maintaining high standards of care, education, health and safety.
You'll love working with children, and you'll be passionate about motivating, leading and inspiring your team of Early Years Practitioners. You'll play an important role in helping them grow, develop and thrive as educators.
