Job Overview
We are seeking experienced and reliable STOVE INSTALLATION SUB-CONTRACTORS to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of stoves, fireplaces, and related heating appliances across residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will ensure that installations meet safety standards, adhere to blueprint specifications, and enhance the comfort and safety of our clients’ spaces. Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprint specifications to ensure accurate stove installation.
- Prepare work sites by building masonry scaffolds, framing, or setting up necessary supports using hand tools and power tools.
- Install various types of stoves, including wood-burning, gas, and pellet models, following manufacturer instructions and safety protocols.
- Perform masonry work such as stone masonry, bricklaying, rebar installation, concrete forming, and finishing to create secure bases for appliances.
- Conduct mortar work, plastering, drywall installation, caulking, and trim carpentry as needed for seamless integration of appliances into existing structures.
- Operate heavy equipment safely when required for site preparation or material handling.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes; maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout each project.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, concrete finishing, masonry, or related trades with a focus on stove or appliance installation.
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans accurately.
- Strong knowledge of building materials including concrete, mortar mixes, stone, brick, drywall, and metal studs.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation relevant to construction sites.
- Ability to perform rebar installation, concrete masonry work, roofing preparation, framing (including metal stud framing), and restoration projects.
- Familiarity with safety protocols specific to construction sites; committed to maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to project changes or unforeseen site conditions.
- Valid experience in renovation projects involving stove installations or similar appliance upgrades is highly desirable.
