Banagher Precast Concrete is currently seeking a skilled Civil or Structural Engineer to join its team in Banagher, Co. Offaly. This role offers the successful candidate an excellent opportunity to progress into a senior position as their experience grows.The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, diligent, and a strong team player, with solid technical knowledge of structural engineering and construction processes. They should be motivated, willing to take responsibility, and capable of working effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of project design, including attending meetings, contractor coordination meetings, site visits, and site inspections.
- Design, supervise, and monitor prestressed and reinforced concrete structural elements across a range of civil and structural engineering projects.
- Design precast concrete elements for buildings in accordance with Eurocodes.
- Prepare both manual calculations and computer-based designs using software such as Tekla Structural Design, Robot, and TEDDS.
- Maintain and organise design documentation and folders.
- Prepare design drawings and review drawings produced by colleagues and external parties.
- Assess and review contractor submissions and design team proposals.
Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Previous experience within the precast concrete industry and/or a relevant engineering consultancy environment would be advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, AutoCAD, Tekla Structural Design, Robot, or similar 3D structural design software.
- Strong understanding of structural design using a variety of materials in accordance with Eurocodes.
- Full clean driver’s licence.
