Camsaw Group is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our finance team on a part-time basis.
Working three days per week, this role is ideal for someone looking for flexibility while still playing an important role within a growing business. You will be responsible for producing timely financial information, supporting monthly reporting, analysing business performance and assisting with budgeting and forecasting.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys both the technical accounting side and using financial data to support better business decisions.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Management Accounts
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Prepare journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
- Produce monthly financial reports and KPI reporting.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist with audit preparation and statutory reporting.
Financial Analysis
- Analyse sales, margins and operating costs.
- Prepare variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
- Identify trends and provide insight into business performance.
- Produce ad hoc financial reports for management.
- Support operational managers with financial information.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in preparing annual budgets.
- Support monthly forecasting.
- Maintain financial models and reporting schedules.
- Monitor departmental performance against budget.
Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Improve financial reporting processes.
- Assist with ERP and reporting system enhancements.
- Develop reporting templates and dashboards.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes.
Compliance & Controls
- Maintain strong financial controls.
- Ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
About You
You'll be an experienced finance professional who enjoys working independently while contributing as part of a collaborative team.
Essential
- Qualified or Part-Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or qualified by experience).
- Previous experience preparing management accounts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills.
Desirable
- Experience using ERP systems (NetSuite experience would be advantageous).
- Previous experience within distribution, wholesale or manufacturing.
- Experience producing management reports and dashboards.
