Dairy and General Assistant

We are currently seeking a Dairy Assistant to support the Dairy Charge hand during periods of absence, while also assisting the store as a General Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong retail experience, a hands-on approach, and a passion for maintaining high standards in stock control, merchandising, and customer service.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in retail grocery, provisions, or dairy management
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to lead a team in a busy environment
- Good knowledge of stock control and merchandising
What you’ll be doing
- Provide cover for the Dairy Charge hands day off and annual leave
- Support the day-to-day operations of the dairy department
- Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked, well presented, and rotated correctly
- Monitor stock levels, ordering, deliveries, and waste control in the charge hands absence
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene
- Ensure all products meet quality and freshness standards
- Give assistance with general shop floor operations as required
