Medical Administrator / Radiographer's Assistant (22.5 Hours per Week) - Sligo
Alliance Medical are currently recruiting for a Medical Administrator / Radiographer's Assistant (dual role) to join our busy radiology team in Sligo. This is a unique dual-role position that combines patient administration responsibilities with hands-on support to our Radiographers and clinical team.

About the Role
As a Medical Administrator / Radiographer's Assistant, you will be an integral member of the patient journey from arrival through to their diagnostic examination. You will support the efficient running of the department by managing appointments, welcoming patients, handling administrative tasks and assisting clinical staff where required.
Working Hours
22.5 hours per week
Shifts may be rostered between 8:00am and 9:30pm, Monday to Saturday
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required in line with service needs
Key Responsibilities
Medical Administration

Schedule, coordinate and confirm patient appointments

Welcome patients and visitors in a professional and compassionate manner

Manage incoming and outgoing telephone calls and appointment enquiries

Maintain accurate patient records and booking systems

Liaise closely with radiology and clinical teams to ensure smooth daily operations

Provide excellent customer service and support throughout the patient experience
Radiographer's Assistant Duties

Assist Radiographers in the preparation and flow of patients through the department

Act as a chaperone where required for the benefit of patients and clinicians

Support patients before, during and after examinations

Provide reassurance and clear explanations regarding procedures and examinations

Help maintain a safe, efficient and patient-focused environment
Key Requirements:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Previous experience in medical administration or a healthcare setting

A calm, caring nature

High attention to detail and accuracy under pressure

Flexible and adaptable team player

A background in customer service is a plus
