Wave Electrical Services Ltd are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Facilities Manager to manage our facilities operations for one specific Client in the Health Care Sector. The Clients portfolio consists of approx 175 premises throughout the Cork County Area with a majority in the greater Cork City Area.
The successful applicant will be managing an existing team of 8No. Electricians who are already very well versed on the clients requirements.
This is a hands-on management role requiring strong people management, client service, technical knowledge and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all planned and reactive maintenance works across multi-let buildings and external areas.
- Lead and manage our maintenance and security teams, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Manage relationships with client and residents, acting as a key point of contact.
- Plan, allocate and monitor workloads and ensure works are completed on time.
- Manage contractors, suppliers and procurement.
- Monitor the quality and performance of employees, contractors and service providers.
- Conduct and document regular facilities inspections and follow up on required actions.
- Assist with budgeting, cost control and accounts-related requirements.
- Implement and maintain security and emergency preparedness procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and best practice.
- Maintain accurate records and effectively use relevant IT systems.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve service, efficiency and standards.
Experience & Skills
- Experience in Facilities Management, Electrical Industry, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Previous experience managing or supervising a team.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical Industry, HVAC and general building systems.
- Strong client and customer service skills.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to make effective decisions and manage priorities under pressure.
- Excellent communication and people-management skills.
- Strong and up-to-date IT skills.
- A practical, proactive approach with the ability to take ownership and follow through.
Qualifications
A qualification in Facilities Management, Electrical Industry, Engineering or a related discipline is desirable.
A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in facilities management, electrical, engineering, building services or a comparable role would be beneficial.
Candidates with significant relevant experience will also be considered.
