We are hiring for a Warehouse Team Lead.
We have two positions available with the below shift patterns:
2pm - 10pm shift
6am - 2pm shift

What You'll Be Doing:
- Responsible for the man management of team members and other direct reports

Provide necessary support to the UDD Operations team to achieve picking/packing/checking/FMD and put away targets

Assist your Supervisor and Manager to manage under performance and absenteeism

Ensure that all deliveries are dispatched in accordance with UDD Delivery schedule
-
Ensure all orders are picked and packed in a timely manner and meet truck departure schedules
-
Ensure rotation of stock on a first in first out basis/ shortest dated stock supplied first
-
Make sure that stock accuracy is maintained throughout the warehouse in accordance with CAP process

Assist in the preparation and the carrying out of stock takes and cycle counts when required

Ensure damaged products are dealt with appropriately

Report to the Warehouse Supervisor any excessive product damage and/or any safety issues in the UDD area

Ensure that systems, SOP's, and GDP's are in place, adhered to, and operate to ISO9002 standard

Be proactive in the management and implementation of Health & Safety policies and procedures in the UDD area

Ensure highest standards of housekeeping are in place (cleanliness of area, storage of goods and handling procedures)

Participate in ongoing projects that will benefit the warehouse in terms of Health and Safety, Quality, Service and Cost

Conduct a handover with all relevant areas in the opposing shift
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Minimum experience of at least 2 years in Distributors warehouse essential
Ability to lead and work as part of a team
Ability to take initiative and work well under pressure in a team environment
Excellent interpersonal skills and good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work on own initiative and work towards deadlines
Ability to work flexible hours as the job demands
Attention to detail and good follow through with a high level of accuracy
Strong focus on customer needs and customer service.
Awareness of Health & safety and GDP requirements.
Knowledge of UDD SAP system would be an advantage
Minimum experience of at least 3 years in a warehouse environment essential
Previous experience of leading a team advantageous
