About Us
We are a busy, well-established independent garage looking for a reliable and organised Part-Time Garage Administrator / Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our business.
This is a varied role that combines administration, customer service, stock control, and general workshop support. No two days are the same, making it an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of a wide range of tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- General office administration and bookkeeping
- Processing invoices and maintaining accurate records
- Ordering vehicle parts and workshop consumables
- Collecting parts from local suppliers when required
- Liaising with suppliers and managing stock levels
- Greeting customers and handling telephone and email enquiries
- Booking vehicles in for servicing and repairs
- Supporting the workshop with administrative tasks
- Managing waste collection and ensuring compliance with waste disposal procedures
- Keeping the reception, office, and garage organised and presentable
- Assisting with other day-to-day business operations as required
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
- Friendly, professional customer service skills
- Good computer skills
- Experience with bookkeeping or office administration
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Full, clean driving licence
- Honest, dependable, and flexible with a positive attitude
Desirable:
- Experience working in a garage, motor trade, or automotive environment
- Knowledge of vehicle parts and suppliers
- Experience using accounting or garage management software - training will be provided.
