Assistant Manager – Alto
We are seeking an enthusiastic, ambitious, and hard-working Assistant Manager to join our team at Alto in Dublin city centre.

Alto is a busy, fast-paced café focused on delivering exceptional coffee, food, and customer service every day. We are part of Howth Market, an independent Irish hospitality business with ambitious plans for growth and development.
We are looking for someone who leads by example, thrives under pressure, and enjoys developing both people and systems. The successful candidate will work closely with the Store Manager to help drive standards, support the team, and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the café.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in the day-to-day operation of the café
- Lead, motivate, and develop team members to deliver excellent customer service
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, presentation, and operational excellence
- Take responsibility for opening and closing procedures
- Ensure company procedures, checklists, and standards are followed consistently
- Handle customer concerns professionally and confidently
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, efficiency, and customer experience
- Act as a role model for professionalism, positivity, and accountability
