Solar Install Surveyor
Location: Waterford / South East

Hartley People Recruitment is working with a well-established renewable energy and home energy solutions provider to recruit a Solar Install Surveyor for the South East region.
This company specialises in residential and commercial energy upgrade projects including solar PV installations, roofing works, insulation, windows and energy-efficient retrofit solutions. With a strong and growing project pipeline, they are seeking a technically minded surveyor to support the planning and successful delivery of installation projects.
This role will suit someone with strong practical knowledge of roofing, construction or solar installations who is comfortable assessing properties, identifying technical requirements and coordinating installation readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-installation site surveys for residential and commercial solar projects
- Assess roofs, structures, electrical access points and installation feasibility
- Take measurements and prepare accurate survey reports and documentation
- Identify potential installation risks or technical issues before works commence
- Liaise with installation teams, customers and project coordinators
- Ensure all surveys comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards
- Support scheduling and planning of installation works
- Maintain accurate records, photographs and survey notes
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in surveying, roofing, solar installations or construction
- Good understanding of roofing structures and building layouts
- Ability to read drawings and technical documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Comfortable dealing with customers on site
- Full clean driving licence
- Strong problem-solving skills with a practical mindset
Desirable
- Previous solar PV industry experience
- Electrical or roofing background
- Experience using digital reporting or surveying tools
- Knowledge of renewable energy systems
