Irish Engineering Services is a leading engineering examination provider in the Republic of Ireland and the exclusive provider for two of Ireland’s largest insurance companies.
We help clients maintain statutory compliance for plant and equipment, supporting the safety of people and property across all sectors including local authorities, fire services, education and training boards, dairy processing, pharmaceuticals and brewing.
We currently have a vacancy for a Pressure Engineer Surveyor, ideally located in Dublin, Meath or Louth. Other Leinster locations may also be considered, as the workload is primarily focused across the province.
What will you be doing?
As a Pressure Engineer Surveyor for Irish Engineering Services, you will be inspecting, testing, and reporting on pressure equipment from air conditioning units to coffee boilers, pressure vessels, safety valves, and steam boilers, delivering an excellent service and helping to make sure everyone goes home safely at the end of the day.
You will:
- Carry out rigorous inspections to identify defects and help prevent potential, avoidable incidents
- Complete detailed reports
- Ensure all customers are compliant with vital regulations that help to govern their industry
- Always providing an exceptional level of customer service, whilst representing our brilliant company professionally
In return, we offer a comprehensive reward package:
- Pay and progression – €60,000 starting salary (dependent on experience and location), rising to €69,593 after year one, €77,325 after year two and €82,480 after year three. Existing Engineer Surveyor experience will be recognised when determining starting salary.

To join our team as a Pressure Engineer Surveyor, you will need:
- An NVQ4 level engineering qualification (equivalent to the higher end of NFQ6). Substantial hands-on experience working with equipment such as boilers, pressure vessels, heating systems, air conditioning units and refrigeration systems.
- The ability to explain complex technical matters clearly and communicate safety issues to clients in a timely, professional and confident manner.
- Good command of the English language to enable production of accurate technical reports which are coherent and professional.
- Familiarity with MS Office software and comfort/confidence using modern IT devices (e.g. tablet & smart phone).
- A full clean driving licence.
