Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Afterschool Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will support the daily running of the afterschool service, ensuring a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for children. The successful applicant will
- Supervise and engage with children in a positive and supportive manner
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities (arts & crafts, homework support, outdoor play, STEM, etc.)
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times
- Support children with homework where required
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe environment
- Work in partnership with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents/guardians
- Adhere to all Tusla regulations, policies and procedures
Job Type / Category
Part time positions are for 20/25 hours per week from Monday - Friday in the afternoon 1:30pm - 6:00pm
Desirable
- Minimum Level 5 qualification in Childcare
- First Aid and Manual Handling certification
- Experience working with school-age children
