Financial Accountant - Dublin
Salary: Up to €75,000 depending on experience
Type: Permanent, full-time
A long-established manufacturer and distributor within the plumbing and building supplies industry is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their Dublin-based finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key role within a business that has built a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and long-term stability.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in managing the company's financial processes, supporting senior leadership, and driving continuous improvement across finance operations. This role would suit someone looking to combine hands-on accounting with commercial exposure in a growing and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Monthly management accounts.

Prepare regional and divisional P&L reports.

Detailed analysis (budget vs. actual) with insightful commentary.

Manage balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the fixed asset register.

Cashflow forecasting, fund management, and FX approvals.

Prepare and submit VAT, Intrastat, and VIES returns (Ireland & UK).

Support on payroll taxes, BIK, P11D, and related compliance.

Supervise AP and AR activities
Candidate Profile:

Minimum 5 years' experience
-
Strong ERP experience (Intact IQ, SAP, or equivalent).

Commercially minded with strong communication skills across departments.

Accounting qualification (IATI, Accounts Technician, or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA) preferred but not essential.
