Role Overview
M50 Concession Ltd is seeking a graduate or early-career engineer to support the operation, maintenance and asset management of the M50 Motorway.
This role is primarily office-based, supporting the coordination, monitoring, and reporting of maintenance and operational activities across the M50 network, with regular site visits to support inspections and live operations.
It is ideally suited to a graduate or early-career engineer looking to develop experience in infrastructure operations, asset management systems, and incident response coordination within a live motorway environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Support routine and periodic inspections of the M50 motorway and its associated infrastructure.
· Support the maintenance of clear and consistent documentation of operational and maintenance processes to enable effective cross-functional coordination.
· Support and assist in the coordination of third-party testing activities (e.g. pavement, noise, ecological), as required.
· Support the preparation of insurance recovery documentation and third-party claims reports.
· Support the Data Manager in the preparation of client reporting.
· Support the Asset Manager in the development and management of routine and cyclical work orders for both planned and corrective maintenance activities, including variations.
· Undertake training to support future participation in the on-call rota for emergency response operations.
· Support winter maintenance planning and operations.
· Support coordination with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders for ongoing O&M activities.
· Support compliance with all relevant Health & Safety legislation, standards, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment and minimise risk.
· Provide technical and operational support across the 24/7 O&M function of the M50 concession.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Good understanding of construction, maintenance and inspection practices.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc) and asset management systems.
- Effective team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptable, enthusiastic, and capable of working independently.
- Familiarity with Quality and Environmental Management systems desirable.
- Understanding of Health & Safety legislation and best practices.
- Experience with Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) and Chapter 8 guidelines desirable.
Experience & Qualifications
- A relevant third-level degree or diploma in Engineering.
- Knowledge of construction, engineering, maintenance, or a similar infrastructure environment
- Full clean driving licence.
Pay: €40,000.00-€45,000.00 per year
