The Role
We are currently recruiting compassionate, reliable, and motivated Healthcare Assistants to join our growing agency team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible work with the freedom to choose shifts that suit their lifestyle.
As an Agency Healthcare Assistant, you will work across a variety of healthcare settings, supporting patients and residents with person-centred care while working alongside multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Support patients and residents with mobility and daily living activities.
- Promote dignity, independence, and respect at all times.
- Observe and report changes in patients' or residents' physical or emotional wellbeing.
- Assist nursing staff with delivering safe and effective care.
- Maintain accurate records where required.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
- Comply with safeguarding, health and safety, and manual handling policies.
- Build positive relationships with service users, families, and healthcare teams.
Essential Requirements
- QQI/FETAC Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support (or equivalent), including Care Skills and Care of the Older Person.
- At least 6 months' experience in a healthcare setting (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, reliable, and professional approach to care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Willingness to complete Garda Vetting (if required).
Desirable
- Manual Handling Certificate (in date).
- Infection Prevention and Control Training.
- Patient Moving and Handling Training.
- Experience in nursing homes, hospitals, disability services, or homecare.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (advantageous for some assignments).
