About the Role:
We’re looking for a caring and energetic Aftercare Practitioner to join our vibrant team at Enquiring Minds Childcare. This is a split-shift role ideal for someone who thrives in a busy, fun-loving environment and enjoys building strong connections with children and their families.
Working hours during school term time:
7:30am–9:00am (Morning school drop-off)
1:20pm– 5:15 / 5:30 /5:45 / 6:00 /6:30pm on weekly rotation (Afternoon school collection and aftercare)
Additional hours available during school holidays and non-term weeks.
Your Day Will Include:
- Walking children safely to and from school (following road safety guidelines)
- Encouraging healthy meals and snacks
- Creating a calm, supportive space to help children decompress after school
- Leading creative, active and engaging activities (indoors and outdoors)
- Supporting children with homework and their interests
- Encouraging positive friendships and free play
- Reporting to the Supervisor and Centre Manager
- Clean drivers licence is required

- A genuine passion for working with children
- A sense of fun and spontaneity – we love surprising the kids with little extras!
- Reliability, warmth, and strong communication skills
- Experience in childcare, youth work, or a related field
- Strong awareness of child safety and wellbeing
- A team player with a can-do attitude and positive energy
