DC Automation is seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, programming, and commissioning of automated control systems, working across a range of industrial environments to a consistently high standard of quality and safety.
- Programming & Development: Design and develop PLC, HMI, and VSD programs according to functional specifications and client requirements.
- Testing & Commissioning: Conduct system testing, off-site and on-site commissioning, and startup of automated systems.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve software, hardware, and control system issues during development and commissioning phases.
- Compliance: Ensure all systems adhere to safety regulations, electrical codes, and company quality standards.
- Installation Support: Occasionally assist with off-site installations and commissioning.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of control systems, electrical diagrams, and automation architecture. Must be proficient in working with PLCs, HMIs, and VSDs.
- Experience: Previous experience in industrial automation, typically 2+ years, and ability to read electrical and control schematics. Experience with ePlan is required.
- Skills: Proficient in PLC programming (e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley, or equivalent), HMI development, and VSD configuration.
- Education: High school diploma, often accompanied by a post-secondary certificate in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.

- Manual Handling: Frequently lifting and moving components.
- Work Environment: Mostly workshop-based, involving long periods of standing.

Pay: €50,000.00-€62,000.00 per year
