An exciting opportunity has become available within our company for a Quality Assurance technician. This role will give you a good foundation in technical and the company offers excellent opportunities to progress within a fast-growing food manufacturing group.
As Q.A Technician your main role will be:
- Carry out verification audits of Good Manufacturing Practices, Internal Systems, Production Environment and Productions Processes
- Carry out hygiene swabbing and line release swabs.
- Co-ordinating Non-Compliance Corrective actions.
- Assist in Customer & Certification audits and visits.
- Provide Technical guidance and support to other departments (particularly Production / Hygiene / Engineering), encouraging understanding and awareness. Provide specific training as required.
- Participation in operational problem solving, technical / hygiene problem solving, and project work as allocated.
- Monitor traceability systems
- Log temperatures and monitor temperature control.
Requirements:
- Preferably a third level qualification in a food science, food technology or science related subject or if you have gained experience in a similar role and gained on the job training certified to EQF level 5 or equivalent.
- A passionate "foodie"
- Robust personality who will cope in a FMCG production environment with the ability to focus in a busy office.
- Ability to build good working relationships with all departments and at all levels within the organisation.
- An understanding of quality & technical responsibilities in chilled and frozen production.
- High attention to detail with good communications skills including written & spoken English. Additional languages would be beneficial.
