We are seeking a talented and motivated Daylight, Sunlight & Environmental Analysis Consultant to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with strong technical expertise and a passion for delivering accurate, high-quality assessments on a diverse range of architectural and development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake daylight and sunlight assessments in accordance with current BRE guidance and relevant industry standards.
- Manage projects from initial assessment through to completion, including analysis, reporting, and client deliverables.
- Produce and interpret 3D models using AutoCAD and other relevant software to support technical assessments.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and professionally presented reports for planning and design teams.
- Collaborate with colleagues, architects, consultants, and clients to ensure project objectives and deadlines are achieved.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of workflows, methodologies, and technical standards within the team.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Proven experience in undertaking daylight and sunlight analysis for architectural or planning projects.
- Strong knowledge of BRE guidance and daylight/sunlight assessment methodologies.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modelling software.
- Experience preparing comprehensive daylight and sunlight assessment reports.
- The ability to independently manage projects and deliver work to a high standard within agreed timescales.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Highly Desirable
- Knowledge of planning processes and environmental assessment requirements.
- Experience working within the architectural, planning, or development sectors.
