We are a family-owned garden centre looking for a FULL TIME- reliable and customer-focused Cashier/Sales Assistant to join our team. As a Cashier/Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our customers and handling all aspects of the checkout process.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude
- Scan and bag customer purchases accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately
- Assist customers with inquiries about products and services
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Support the sales team by restocking shelves and ensuring that products are displayed appropriately
- Follow company policies and procedures at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a retail environment preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Basic math skills
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as required
