Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Internal Sales Specialist – Drylining to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing sales opportunities, managing customer relationships, and providing expert product advice within the drylining sector. This role requires strong commercial awareness, excellent customer service skills, and a thorough understanding of drylining systems, products, and applications.
As a key member of the sales team, you will support contractors, builders, architects, and developers by delivering accurate quotations, technical guidance, and outstanding customer service while contributing to the achievement of sales and profitability targets.
This role will be based at our new head office in Dunshaughlin, Co Meath.
Sales & Business Development

Generate and maximise sales opportunities within the drylining category.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Proactively identify opportunities to increase sales, margin, and customer engagement.
- Follow up on quotations and enquiries to convert opportunities into orders.
- Work closely with external sales representatives to support key accounts and project opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements.
Customer Service

Provide expert advice on drylining products, systems, and solutions.
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries via phone, email, and in person when required.

Deliver accurate quotations, pricing, and product recommendations.
- Resolve customer issues and queries efficiently and professionally.
- Ensure a consistently high level of customer satisfaction.
Technical & Product Expertise

Maintain in-depth knowledge of drylining products including:
- Plasterboard systems
- Metal framing systems
- Ceiling systems
- Insulation products
- Access panels
- Fixings and accessories
- Fire protection and acoustic solutions
- Advise customers on product specifications, applications, and compliance requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to stay informed on new products and technical developments.
Administration & Operations

Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain CRM and sales records.
- Support stock management and forecasting activities.
- Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure product availability.
Assist in achieving branch and departmental sales targets.

Requirements
Essential:

Previous experience in an internal sales, trade sales, or customer-facing sales role.
- Strong knowledge of drylining products and systems.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially minded with a proven ability to identify sales opportunities.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and sales/order processing systems.
Desirable:

Experience within builders' merchants, construction supply, or specialist drylining distribution.
- Understanding of construction projects, specifications, and tender processes.
- Knowledge of fire, acoustic, and insulation regulations.
- Experience using CRM or ERP systems.
