Title of Post: Regional Placement Facilitator in Social Work (0.8FTE)
JOB SYNOPSIS
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Regional Placement Facilitator (RPF) in Social Work to support the development and delivery of practice education within the MA in Social Work programme. This is a strategic and operational role that combines the traditional placement facilitation function with selected practice education coordination responsibilities. The successful candidate will lead the development of placement capacity while ensuring the quality, consistency, and sustainability of practice learning opportunities for social work students. The post holder will work closely with social work agencies, Tusla, HSE, Probation Service, voluntary and community organisations, private providers, practice teachers, academic staff, and students. They will be responsible for sourcing, coordinating, supporting, and monitoring placements and will contribute to the ongoing development of the programme's practice education strategy. Responsibilities will also include liaison with TUSLA, HSE etc in terms of Garda Vetting; International Police Clearance; the creation and management of Memoranda of Agreements; the coordination of Practice Placement Reporting; the generation of learning agreements etc. There will also be considerable interaction with Practice Placement Tutors. As the programme develops, the role will provide leadership in quality assurance, placement innovation, stakeholder engagement, practice educator development, and accreditation requirements.
