The Heights Hotel, a family-run business in Killarney, is celebrating 50 years of hospitality. With 72 bedrooms and a strong reputation for hosting weddings, events, and exceptional dining experiences, we take pride in providing warm, friendly service to all our guests.
Job Overview:
We are looking for a professional and welcoming Receptionist to join our front office team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out experience while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures
- Handle guest inquiries via phone, email, and in person
- Manage reservations and process bookings efficiently
- Provide information on hotel facilities, local attractions, and services
- Handle payments, billing, and financial transactions accurately
- Work closely with housekeeping and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
- Resolve guest complaints or issues professionally and promptly
- Admin tasks as required such as taking dining, event and special occasions bookings and associated administrative duties.
- Follow hotel policies and procedures to ensure high service standards
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a hotel reception or customer service role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using reservation systems (experience with Guestline or similar PMS is an advantage)
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- A friendly and professional demeanor with a customer-focused attitude
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Fluent English is required; additional languages are a plus
