Management Accountant

Job Summary
Primeline Group is seeking a qualified and commercially focused Management Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will take ownership of month-end accounting, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and balance sheet control across multiple cost centres. This role will provide key financial insights to drive business performance and support continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Management Accounts

Prepare and manage month-end accounts for multiple cost centres.

Produce accurate and timely Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and Balance Sheets.

Complete monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs.
-
Prepare and process monthly journal entries.
-
Perform monthly general ledger (GL) reconciliations and account reconciliations.
-
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Prepare and deliver monthly performance reporting packs for senior management.

Analyse financial performance across multiple business areas, identifying:
- Variances
-
Trends
-
Business risks
-
Growth opportunities
-
Produce revenue and margin analysis by Business Unit and customer.

Develop actionable financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Budgeting & Forecasting
-
Lead the annual budgeting process.
-
Prepare regular financial forecasts, including:
- Profit & Loss forecasts
-
Balance Sheet forecasts
-
Net Working Capital forecasts
-
Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts.
Stock & Working Capital Management
-
Manage monthly stock reporting and stock reconciliations.
-
Support effective working capital management through accurate reporting and analysis.
Compliance & Regulatory Reporting

Prepare and submit external regulatory reports as required.

Ensure compliance with financial controls, accounting standards, and company policies.

Support internal and external audit activities.
Process Improvement & Business Support
-
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance finance processes and controls.
-
Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve reporting efficiency.

Support the development and implementation of ERP systems and finance technologies.

Collaborate with key stakeholders across finance, operations, customers, and vendors to track KPI performance and improve business outcomes.
Required Skills & Experience
Qualifications

Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CPA).

FMCG industry experience preferred.
Technical Skills
-
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Experience preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
-
Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.

Experience implementing, developing, or enhancing ERP systems.
-
Knowledge of financial controls, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

Strong audit experience.
